While most of our artefacts can be admired behind glass, touching is expressly encouraged at our so-called "hands-on stations"! Archaeology you can touch and feel, so to speak. By tinkering, puzzling and touching the reconstructed objects, archaeology can be experienced. Open a Celtic lock, smell ancient Rome, shine as an early medieval warrior at our selfie station or rebuild a fallen pillar of the gods as a 3D puzzle.

You can easily discover additional stations in the galleries. This offering is aimed particularly at children and young people as well as visually impaired visitors, but also at anyone who would like to immerse themselves in the adventure of archaeology with different senses.
