The present inventory records the collection holdings of the State Archaeological Collection from the cultural area "Eastern Mediterranean and Ancient Orient". It was compiled as part of a project in 2012/13 by Prof. Dr. Astrid Nunn, taking into account the inventories of the State Archaeological Collection (Dr. Gisela Zahlhaas). With the publication of the inventory online since 2014, which has already been published in various other places, the State Archaeological Collection is making this part of the collection accessible to researchers and the public in a summarised form. Scientific enquiries about the material should always be addressed to the museum.
