Activities for children and teenagers

At our museum, we place great emphasis on bringing the archaeological past to life for everyone. In addition to the programmes offered by the Museum Education Centre (MPZ), we also organise our own events, activities and special features for our younger visitors. The following activities are currently on the programme:

AR Game
Museums are boring? Not at all! Chase after the snake Sisssi and learn about archaeology in a fun way with our augmented reality game. Please book in advance. More information.

Hands-on Trail
It’s all about getting stuck in! Various stations in the permanent exhibition invite you to immerse yourself with all your senses. More information here.

Scavenger hunt through the permanent exhibition
For our young visitors (aged 6 to 8), though the age limit is not strict. Older siblings or friends are, of course, welcome to join in too. Simply pick up a clipboard with the relevant sheets at the ticket office and off you go!

Painting station
Coming soon! Even the youngest children (aged 3 and up) are involved in the museum due to a children’s painting table. A variety of colouring sheets invite to get creative. How about a celtic warrior, an old roman or a knight, for example?

More activities to follow.
